Richard joined Gladman in January 2018 and is responsible for managing large scale residential planning applications and appeals, strategic land promotion via the Plan-making system and community engagement. Prior to his current role, he was a Planning Manager in the Co-op’s Commercial and Investment team, based in Manchester and an Associate at Hourigan Connolly, a leading independent Planning and Development Consultant. His wider planning and property experience was gained at CB Richard Ellis and Turley.

A specialist in strategic housing matters and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Richard has acted as an expert witness at Public Inquiries, Hearings and also appeared at Local Plan Examinations on behalf of various developers and strategic land promoters. Richard qualified as a Chartered Town Planner in 2004, having completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Wales, Cardiff.
