Neil joined Gladman in April 2014 and works in the planning team. His role covers all aspects of the residential planning promotion process. Neil’s key responsibilities include site appraisals, reviewing local plan policy, analysing housing demand and land supply, management of the planning application submission process, negotiation of Section 106 agreements and attendance at Planning Inquiries.

Prior to joining Gladman, Neil worked for Cheshire West & Chester Borough Council as a Senior Planning Officer responsible for the processing of a varied caseload of planning applications across the Borough including major residential, retail, leisure and commercial development, including pre-application discussions and negotiations with applicants and developers and acting as the Council’s witness at Informal Hearings and Public Inquiries.

Neil has 8 years of Local Authority experience, having also been employed by Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council and Vale Royal Borough Council in development management planning teams.

Neil is a qualified Town Planner, holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography, an RTPI accredited Master’s Degree in Civic Design, and he is also a professional member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Outside of work Neil enjoys spending time with his young family, playing and watching football and attempting DIY!
