Laura joined Gladman in October 2011 to assist the strategic land team with the identification, acquisition and promotion of strategic land across the UK. Laura’s roles now include the methodical identification of sites suitable for residential development within target locations, the submission of planning applications and giving of evidence at Planning Inquiries.
Laura’s background is in the private sector having previously worked for SSR Planning, a planning consultancy, based in the East Midlands. In her previous role Laura worked on a wide variety of projects including promotion of major development sites through the Local Development Framework, project management and submission of planning applications. Laura is a qualified Town Planner holding a Master’s Degree in Town and Regional Planning from Sheffield University. She is also a professional member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
Outside of work Laura enjoys traveling particularly to North America where she attended university as part of an exchange programme. She also likes to go walking and is currently exploring the footpaths around Congleton. Laura is currently undertaking a course in photography and hope through her traveling and walking she will get to practice the skills she learns.
