James joined Gladman in August 2012 and currently manages the development opportunities of strategic sites.
With extensive experience in strategic land, residential schemes, site viabilities, planning, design and construction, James has over 20 years of knowledge and experience. Initially from an Architectural background, James has completed major residential schemes as head of design at Taylor Wimpey NW Ltd to the project value of £40million, which included pre-acquisition and tendering of strategic sites, masterplanning, coordination of external consultants; liaising with land owners, statutory authorities and other key stakeholders for the promotion of strategic housing land through the planning system.
Previously, James was involved in the construction of BSF schools throughout the UK working for Hemsec Installations as their Project & Design Manager and constructing an array of buildings using SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels). James is also proficient in utilising the latest 3D Building Information Modelling software (BIM) including AutoCAD and Revit, to improve collaboration, performance, optimisation and project delivery.
James enjoys family life with his two teenage children, all sports, IT and learning new software programmes.
