Emma joined Gladman in January 2014. Emma’s role includes identifying the scope of supporting information necessary to promote a site; the appointment and co-ordination of external consultants and in-house expertise; financial control of projects; liaising with land owners, statutory authorities and other key stakeholders for the promotion of strategic housing land through the planning system.
Prior to joining, Emma worked for Cheshire East Council as a Principal Planning Officer responsible for the processing of a varied caseload of planning applications across the Borough including major residential and commercial development, including pre-application discussions with applicants and developers, presenting applications at committee and acting as the Council’s expert witness at Public Inquiries. Emma has 13 years of public and private practice experience, having been employed by Cheshire East Council, Gerald Eve Chartered Surveyors and Macclesfield Borough Council, within Development Management teams.
Emma is a qualified Town Planner holding a BSc (Hons) Degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning. She is a full member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys spending time with family and friends and going sailing.
