Jay Midwinter

Land Assistant

BA (Hons)

Jay works within our land acquisitions team and is responsible for securing land promotion opportunities in the East of England, South West and Yorkshire.

Jay joined Gladman in November 2014. He initially came to Gladman as an in-house site finder, identifying sustainable areas for potential future development. He then went on to carry out a number of research tasks and has gained first-hand experience of the planning system when working on live Gladman sites at varying stages of the process. Before joining the acquisitions side Jay began life in the land team as a Planner, helping to appraise potential future sites brought to Land by the site finding team, agents and landowners.

Jay graduated from the University of Liverpool in July 2014 with a BA Honours in Human Geography. During this time he chose to undertake a number of Town and Country planning modules to help further his knowledge of the planning world.

Outside of work Jay is a keen sportsman. He enjoys playing football, tennis and shooting in his spare time. Jay also ‘enjoys’ following his much loved Stoke City FC.
