Here at Gladman we have had an extended summer of local successes. Whilst Gladman’s appeal decisions have been as successful as ever, our local wins approval rate has soared with no less than 52% of sites having their day in the sun and being approved at planning committee after engaging the hearts of the public and winning over minds at the councils.
The combined total equates to some 2,600 dwellings, approved both locally and allowed at appeal, since April. The local approvals have sprung up thick and fast in locations as diverse as Stroud (Cam), Kent (Charing in Ashford), Huntingdonshire (Needingworth), Braintree (Earls Colne), Leicestershire (Fleckney and Wigston), Harrogate (Knaresborough) and Bradford (Menston) amongst others.
Numerous Gladman planning submissions await determination in local authorities’ application pipelines across the length and breadth of the country and the company will be expecting to add several additional sites to the roll-call of successes before the end of the year.
